This is a fantastic post. I love all the different hats and how you look different in all of them. My favourite has to be the fluffy white one though. This is such a great analogy for life and writing characters. Made me think about putting on the hat of my own characters. Thank you!
What a great concept: Melding your hat collection with the roles writers play throughout the writing process. My favorite of your hats is the poofy white one. The image that came to mind was of a woman back in the '60s wearing it to the grocery store to hide the rollers and bobby pins! Congratulations on the new book coming out.
What a hat collection. I like the idea of wearing a different hat for each character or each part of writing. I remember a writer--I can't remember who--would dress in a suit each day before he began writing. Maybe the hats are what we all need to do to separate use from the different phases of writing, editing, social media, marketing, etc.
What fun! You inspire me to try hats. I need to go to a shop here in the city that carries all kinds of hats for costumes and silliness or seriousness. Congrat's on the new book coming out!

--you've touched a segue to memories and out of the miasma we currently range in--an important and silly and fun post, Tracey, that is beyond wonderful!
You've raised hopes, laughter, and a way for personal input into a larger world that continues to evolve. We never know, do we, where we are going? Get ideas, alter and continue to play and work with all!
Oh, my gosh! I ❤️ your hat collection! My favorite is your grandfather's Russian hat.
Thanks Laurie! This was a silly post, but it was fun! 🙂
I love your hat collection! I can't wait to read FOREWARNED! And I'm with Laurie, my favorite hat is your grandfather's Russian hat. :)
Thank you Kathleen!

Thanks Colleen! Glad you enjoyed it.
These hats are too cute, both literally and figuratively. I love the white fluffy on on the right.
Thanks Saralyn! It was fun to wear them all :)

Thank you Sherrill! I remember those ladies. I need a psychedelic 70's hat to add to my collection for the new book :)
What fun!! Love them all!
Thanks Val!
I love your hat collection, Tracey! And love your writing metaphors about hats!
Thank you Margaret! It was fun to write!

Right? If only it were that easy. Thanks Carl!

Thank you Christine! I would try Retro Revolution and the Pink Poodle. I'll bet you can find something fun at either of those shops. 😀
It's a Wisconsin kind of thing. Hats off to you, Tracey!
Thanks Thomas! I love your profile pic. Dashing! 😀

The best intentions....
And they change! I'm so glad you posted this.
Today has already evolved into MUCH more purpose.
Obrigato.
Thank you.
Thanks you Jill! I knew it was silly going in, but sometimes we need that. Don't we? I'm so glad to connect with you - via hats.
