Sheila shares her inspiration and handwriting knowledge. Her latest book, Maximum Pressure is a page turner, and a fantastic new chapter in the life of Claudia Rose.
My review: 5.0 out of 5 stars High School Reunion Gone Awry

Reunions have the potential for drama, but Claudia Rose's reunion tops them all. The earlier disappearance of a classmate, combined with the current death of a reunion attendee, makes for a propulsive, engaging spin through twists and turns. The suspects are as familiarly drawn as one's own remembered high school associates. The book had me glued to its pages for a delightful one-day read.
Very enjoyable interview. All my adult life I was a student of investigative interviewing and mid-career I had the opportunity to study forensic linguistic analysis with Avinoam Sapir using the SCAN technique. I was thinking how using Forensic Handwriting Analysis in combination with linguistic analysis would be a great one-two punch. Sheila did you ever see anyone combining the two? I love how you wove together your training with your creativity in your fiction.
Thanks, John. I studied with Avinoam Sapir in the late 1990s. And yes, after I get a good sense of personality from the handwriting, I apply statement analysis to it. These days, though, most of my work is in handwriting authentication.
Here’s what I had to say about Sheila Lowe’s most recent release, Maximum Pressure: A Claudia Rose Novel
“A captivating thriller that keeps readers on their toes. Lowe’s seamless storytelling and richly developed characters make this book a must-read. The meticulous attention to detail, heart-pounding action, and emotional depth create an engaging story from start to finish. Looking for an enthralling read? Maximum Pressure delivers.” —Laurie Buchanan

p.s. In one of my books, Claudia does some statement analysis. I think it was in Outside the Lines.

And that comment made it's way into a newspaper interview. They found it all by themselves. Thanks, Laurie!
